The ABG attended the annual meeting of the Australasian Society for the Study of Animal Behaviour in July. An enjoyable and informative conference. ABG highlights included:
- Xue (“Snow”) Bian receiving the Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution prize for the talk presenting the most innovative research
- Bhagya Herath was awarded an ASSAB student grant ($1000) for her work on dancing frogs
- Andrea Narvaez won best video competition
- Richard Peters won best photo in the Animals doing things to other animals category
There was plenty of laughter, but also tears as we farewelled Andrea Narvaez who returned to Ecuador mid way through the conference.
